About this watch
Originally manufactured in 1973, this piece is a striking today as it was then and I honestly doubt whoever buys this will ever see anyone else wearing the same watch, not only is the rose gold fluted bezel seldom seen but pie pan dial is completely unique and in my opinion utterly beautiful I can only hope our images can capture the unique colour tone that has developed over the last 50 years the rose gold dial not only has a stunning depth of colour with almost a bronze tone to it but the original Rolex lettering on the dial has turned to what collectors term “ghost” as depending on the light conditions they can appear to completely vanish ,as you can imagine this combination is highly prized by collectors but its also just a great watch to wear.
The cal 1570 automatic movement is pristine and is covered by our 12 month guarantee.
The watch is fitted to an equally hard to find Rolex 18ct rose gold and stainless steel jubilee bracelet.
As you will be able to see if you look very closely the edges of the original dial do show some slight aging but nothing that detracts for the beauty of this piece and when viewed under normal conditions isn't noticeable.
This really is a collectors gem.
