I have long been a fan of the nipple dial Rolex’s although they are much more often seen on steel or bi metal watches, this solid gold example from 1978 offers a rare opportunity to purchase an excellent original example
The reference 1675/8 was produced in relatively small numbers, initially supplied on a leather strap and then moving to a solid gold oyster strap and as an option a solid 18ct gold Jubilee bracelet which is a scarcely seen item and sets of this piece beautifully
The gold case is in superb condition as is the bezel and the original dial has aged to a unique even matt finish which highlights the gold hour markers superbly.
The automatic movement keeps great time having been recently serviced and carries our full 12 months guarantee.
