About this watch

This has to be one of the coolest watches we have had on the site for a while, it is a circa 1977 Betina branded Elgin divers watch in all stainless-steel case measures 36 mm exc crown but wears much bigger due to the bold crown guards  in diameter including the protected crown. The watch is in near stock condition, the crystal shows some light hazing but other than that it is as it left the factory.

Betina was a brand that (like many others) bought in bigger watch houses cases, movement and dials and branded them as their own. This example is so special not only because of the condition but because of the remarkable racing dial, which like the rest of the watch is simply stunning.

The watch is running a Betina branded Elgin FHF 909 25 Jewels automatic movement is freshly serviced.

With so many divers watches having functional plain black dials to find one like this which is still functional, all stainless steel but has a stunning racing dial is a truly rare occurrence.
