About this watch

It’s no secret that I am a fan of these watches, I think they have it all pedigree, history, and style. What more do you want?

The Mk11 watch was introduced in 1969 intended as the replacement for the original Speedmaster (ironic as both watches are still being manufactured, although the MKII is a re-addition)

MKII was very much ‘of its time’ in terms of design and has been emulated by several other manufacturers since. The case had a totally new and innovative design with the crystal being integral and flush to the case with the tachymeter bezel being incorporated to the crystal.

The Manual winding cal 861 movement is the same as found in the famous Speedmaster “Moon Watch” so reliable it was chosen for all space flights so I am sure it will be ok for us pedestrians !

The colourful racing dial is extremely eye catching and highly prized and this is one of the nicest all original examples I have had for a long time.

The 40mm stainless steel case on this excellent piece has its original sunburst finish and crisp contrasting polished edges and is fitted to its original stainless-steel bracelet

This excellent example comes complete with

Omega Box

Omega document wallet

Original Omega papers dated 1975

Original Omega chronograph instructions booklet (never normally seen)
