About this watch

This is one of the rarer executions of the famous ‘moonwatch’, the 145.012-67, it was the first of the now famous case design, which differed from the first Speedmaster by the addition of pusher and crown guards. This particular example dates from Circa 1968 and was released along side the famous ‘Ed White’ Speedmaster, ultimately this models popularity saw it and later models replacing the ‘Ed White’

This example is simply stunning, the original applied logo stepped dial is superb with gorgeous luminous material and has a remarkable patina. The movement is Omega’s famous 321 movement, correct and original to the watch and in perfect original condition. The watch benefits from the original Dot Over Ninety bezel, which is in superb original condition and the case is super sharp and very clean,

Without doubt this is one of the nicest examples of this iconic watch we have ever seen and being one of the rarer executions it is a sure fire investment opportunity for any collector.

Its worth noting that a DON bezel in this condition would sell easily for in excess of £2500 which is why so many watches have had them removed and its why this is such an exceptional piece.

I fitted this to a new top quality Bulang and Son black leather strap which is extremely comfortable

This great piece also comes with the Omega Archive document confirming correct serial number and date

our stock number 680
