This stunning circa 1959/60 Waltham branded Blancpain Bathyscaphe really is something remarkable and special. The watch is presented in what can only be described as museum quality condition, having all its original parts, including crown and benefiting from without doubt the best case, bezel and dial/ hands I have ever seen.
Waltham collaborated with Blancpain on several watches, in simple terms these where Waltham branded 50 fathoms and the build quality reflects this. The very wearable 34 mm (excluding crown) watch has a manual wind Waltham 1686 movement and has been fully serviced and overhauled by Simon Freese watchmakers. This model is the stainless-steel case version and is without doubt the most desirable iteration of this series.
