Rolex Oyster Date 1550 SOLD

This vintage, all original and correct reference 1550 ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE is ALL heavily gold electroplated with 18ct gold and is almost as new and comes with original box and correct punched papers which are dated 1976

This quite rare example uses a process that covers  the entire bracelet and watch case  heavily in 18 ct gold at the ROLEX factory making it almost  indistinguishable from a solid gold piece . It is interesting to mention that these ROLEX watches have a special and heavy OYSTER BRACELET with solid end-pieces similar to the ROLEX president.Also of note the bracelet has no signs of stretch and is full size.

The original gold dial and matching handset are also pristine.

New old stock is a phrase often used incorrectly and I am reluctant to use it my self however in this case I would swear that this piece hasn't been worn. Whatever the case this is a stunning example of a very popular watch with box and papers .
