About this watch

While the original Speedmasters that went into space like the 2998 and Ed Whites had the hippocampus on the case back during 1969 the year of the space missions Omega launched this model with the first reference to NASA and the moon landings, this model with the inscription “Flight QUALIFIED BY NASA FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSIONS” and in straight writing “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON” was in production for a very short period until 1971 when the wording on the back changed to what it was to remain for decades. These are pretty bold statements, and no other watch can ever make the same, so I believe these pieces will always be coveted by collectors and enthusiast alike.

This watch is complete and intact, the B2 bezel is in excellent original condition, it has the original Type A3 24 tooth crown, even the glass bears the omega symbol. The watch has the correct 32XXXXXX million serial number, and the movement is pristine and works exactly as it should and as with all our pieces carries a full 12-month guarantee.

The watch is fitted with its original 1175 bracelet and 640 end links.

The watch is supplied with the original red inner box and cream outer box along with the correct red document folder, you and your omega brochure and an incredibly rare blank correct international guarantee booklet.
