About this watch

The Omega Speedmaster has been associated with the Nasa Space programme for decades and is perhaps most famous for being the first watch worn on the moon, however there is a very famous fictional young reporter called Tin Tin whose adventures also include landing on the moon ,in the early 2000’s Omega negotiated with the copywrite owners to produce a limited edition the Speedmaster in tribute to Tin Tin ,that watch would have also included the image of Tin Tins rocket on the dial ,sadly it never went ahead but some years later in 2013 Omega released this watch with the planned racing red and white checked dial and red rear case engraving which has for ever been nick named the Tin Tin by collectors. I personally rate this as one of the most striking Speedies to wear and equally as desirable as the Snoopy series and judging by the scarce number ever available on the open market I believe it not only offers a brilliant watch to wear but also a sound investment opportunity.

The example I have on offer today is in superb condition having been worn very rarely by its previous owner and it comes on a full size correct 1958 /957 bracelet.

The manual wind cal 1861 is a descendant of the original cal 861 movement from the original moon watch and it runs perfectly and as with all our pieces carries a 12-month mechanical warranty.

The watch comes as shown with inner and outer original boxes, operating booklet card holder and pictogram card.

I believe this is also the most competitively priced example available in the UK
