About this watch

While the original speedmasters that went into space like the 2998 and Ed Whites had the hypocampus on the case back during 1969 the year of the space missions Omega launched this model with the first reference to NASA and the moon landings and this model was in production for a very short period until 1971 when the wording on the back changed to what it was to remain for decades.

It is my belief that the sleeper in the world of Speedmasters is this rare straight writing reference from the moon landings period

This watch is complete and intact, the B2 bezel is in excellent original condition, it has the original Type A3 24 tooth crown. The watch has the correct 32XXXXXX million serial number and the movement is pristine and serviced.

The watch is fitted with its original 1175 bracelet and 640 end links. many of you will realise that the strap and end links alone would sell for £1500 and I am happy to sell the head separately if required.

This is a remarkable watch in original condition and a complete set, all of which are becoming increasingly hard to find for this model and variant. The watch is supplied with the original red inner box and cream outer box along with the correct red document folder, you and your omega brochure and an incredibly rare blank correct international guarantee booklet.
