This remarkable Marc Nicolet 300M divers watch dates to approximately 1970, it is in as new old stock condition, there is a tiny mark on the bezel (probably why it never sold) The watch is extremely rare, very eye catching and genuinely one of a kind.
Marc Nicolet divers heritage dates back to the late 1950’s, when they partnered with Blancpain, who produced Marc Nicolet branded Blancpain Bathyscaphe watches for Nicolet. During the 1960’s and 1970’s there collaborations continued on and off, this example is a Marc Nicolet made watch dating from circa 1970. The watch is housed in a perfect and damage free 40mm case with black aluminum insert stainless steel bezel. The watch houses an A-Schild derived 25 jewel automatic movement, which is running perfect as you would expect.
By far the stand out item on the wtch is the stunning and original sunburst pattern electric blue dial, it simply is one of the most stunning and divers watches of the period and wont fail to impress friends and experts alike.
Over the last three years we have seen a cumulative total of three of these remarkable watches for sale, this one is without doubt the best of those. You are buying all the quality of a modern swiss watch but knowing you wont see anyone wearing another one.
