This stunning Omega Geneve dates to 1952 and is in beautiful, original and unrestored condition. The 35mm case is very sharp and original and never refinished or restored and the dial is absolutely gorgeous, in near perfect condition and retaining its original ‘Geneve’ script and cross hair dial along with the very distinctive applied gold Omega symbol and wording.
The watch is large for the period at 35mm excluding the crown and it wears very large due to the thin bezel and large dial. The calibre 266 movement is in pristine original condition, with no loss of plating or corrosion.
The watch is totally original, a perfect dress watch for formal occasions or ideal for casual wear. Vintage dress watches of this type are becoming highly desirable and very fashionable, in fact Omega have just released a Globemaster model bearing more than a passing resemblance to this model. The watch is completely original, it is fitted with a lovely period band and retains all of its originality, including the crown and crystal. The hands have some light corrosion but other than that it would be hard to tell the watch was more than a few months old, the condition is that good.
A great piece of Omega history and a sure fire future investment.
