About this watch

This is one of the uncommon divers watches we have listed on our site for some time. It uses the same case as the famous Breitling Diver of the early 1960’s. This example dates to the very early 1960’s and unlike many divers’ watches of the time is 37 mm excluding the crown, it wears very large.

Philly produced watches for many years but like so many companies did not survive the quartz revolution of the 1970’s. This is one of the most attractive watches we have ever seen from the company. It has all the style of a Rolex ‘bond’ but for a fraction of the price despite being built to an equal quality.

The solid stainless steel case and rotating stainless steel bezel house a Swiss ETA 2452 movement, which is married to one of the most attractive divers dials we have ever seen. The gloss black dial has applied tritium dagger markers inlaid with numbers at 12, 6 and 9. It is simply stunning.

The watch has been recently serviced  and is fully guaranteed for 12 months  so I am pleased to offer you all the reliability of a modern mass produced watch but with the undoubted cool of a 50 year old vintage dive watch
