About this watch

Throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s many of the most famous watch companies in the world produced Divers/ waterproof chronographs. Although not traditionally ‘waterproof’ they were intended as sports chronographs and were highly water resistant as well as being very robust and designed to last. Amongst the famous manufacturers adopting these designs where Croton, JLC, Breitling, Movado (along with many more)

Uno were a prominent Swiss manufacturer from who unfortunately went the same way as so many following the quartz revolution of the 1970’s and 1980’s. They were renowned for making high quality Swiss watches and this example is right up there.

Dating from 1968/69 the watch is running an L248 chronograph manufactured by Landeron and considered to be amongst the best movements available at the time. The solid stainless steel case was designed to wear the test of time and here we are nearly 50 years on and it’s still in remarkable condition.

Although the watch has some light age-related marks is really is in remarkable condition and is extremely wearable for all occasions. The 40 mm case and classic stainless steel/ black dial design gives it real vintage appeal whilst still appearing very modern in design.
