About this watch

This rare early 1970’s Omega Seamaster Cosmic200/ 60 meter divers watch is one of the hidden gems in Omegas extensive archive of amazing vintage divers watches. Like many omega sports watches of the period, these watches have risen steadily in value over the last five years.

This iteration of the Seamaster 60 was designed originally for the US military in a number of formats and many of them where issued to the US Navy, this rare civilian version was introduced as a sports divers watch and joined the line up alongside the famous Seamaster 300 and later the Seamaster PloProf.

The stunning matt black and black Bakelite bezel really set the watch apart and the substantial 38mm (excluding the crown) case dimensions make it extremely wearable. These watches are becoming quite rare in the market now, the substantial stainless steel case and integral stainless steel bracelet make it both extremely wearable and very durable. Condition wise the watch is in excellent and most importantly completely original condition, there are couple of small marks on the retaining ring beneath the crystal and the odd wear mark on the case but without doubt this is one of the best examples to come to the market recently.
