Omega Seamasters ‘Ranchero’ rose gold

This is a rare watch, not only because it is one of few examples of the Ranchero official re branded by Omega as a Seamaster but also because it is rose gold plated and in untouched, never restored condition.

The Ranchero is becoming extremely collectible and good examples are very hard to find. The Ranchero was marketed as a budget option just below the ‘Professional trilogy’ of SM 300, Railmaster and Speedmaster. Production ran for approximately 6 – 7 years, as it was not a popular watch at the time, partly because of poor marketing by Omega.

A series of the Ranchero’s were rebranded as Seamasters and produced primarily for the European market. The case is the Ranchero case and has the same designation as the Ranchero, the movement the same base 30T2 (268) and the same style dial but branded as Seamaster.

This example is particularly appealing to the eye as the perfect cream dial is accented by rose gold dial furniture. The case is heavy rose gold plated. This is a rare combination of this special watch and a rare opportunity to acquire a totally unmolested example.
