This remarkably preserved Omega Seamaster chronograph is running the famous in-house 1040 movement, shared with such watches as the ‘big blue’ and Speedmaster MKIII. The watch is in remarkable near new condition showing only the very lightest signs of wear and benefits from having just been fully overhauled by Omega UK.
These Chronographs were Omegas first automatic chronograph movements and when produced were range toppers. They came in various guises but non as attractive or more wearable than these 176.007 models. This is by far the most desirable combination of Stainless Steel with brushed silver dial and blue accents.
Introduced in the very early 1970’s, the Omega 1040 was the movement that formed the base for Omega Chronographs for the next 30 years. The movements were modified and developed, which included being fitted under variation 1041 to the Omega Speedmaster 125, the first Automatic Chronograph Chronometer.
The watch is presented on original Omega rally band with period Omega buckle, it comes with the full balance of a two-year Omega warranty and is as nice on the inside as it is on the outside, a truly beautiful watch whilst been robust enough to wear and enjoy every day.
This is the ultimate combination of wearable daily watch with superb 70’s design in near new condition and fully serviced by Omega with full Omega warranty.
