The 36mm gold and steel Datejust is timeless classic and needs little introduction from me although this example from 1990 comes with the oyster bi metal bracelet rather than the more common jubilee bracelet which offers a more substantial appearance.
The watch benefits from the gold dial with simple baton hands and markers and is topped with the fluted solid 18ct gold bezel
Rolex used the cal 3135 automatic movement to power this generation of Datejust which benefits from having the quick set date mechanism which is extremely useful if you don’t intend to wear this watch everyday, although I think this is watch that is suitable to be worn for any occasion.
The watch underwent a complete overhaul by Rolex in 2009 and comes with the service paperwork and original Rolex box and more recently had an independent service and so runs exactly as it should and is covered by our 12 months mechanical guarantee.
