About this watch

Originally manufactured for Pan AM pilots,  this very useful watch soon became the must have time piece for professional travelers, due to the ease of reading dual time zones .

The reference 16753 belongs to the 3rd generation of the GMT-Master, launched in the early 1980's. In comparison to its predecessor (the reference 1675), the stainless-steel 16750, yellow-gold 16758, and two-tone 16753 all offer a quick-set date and a higher-beat for its automatic movement with GMT-complication

This example from 1987 comes complete with original box ,Rolex Oyster booklet ,Rolex GMT Master booklet and Rolex service papers from June 2013.

The 40 mm stainless steel case is crisp and not over polished you can see the previous owner did have the case back lightly engraved .,The 18ct gold bezel has a Black insert to match the dial .

The 18ct gold and stainless steel jubilee bracelet shows very little stretch

The Black dial is unmarked and the original tritium hour markers have aged to a wonderful cream colour

The GMT has always been a popular sports Rolex and the recent sale of Marlon Brando's for almost $2,000,000 has certainly increased them as a talking point if nothing else

Our stock number 2103 in stock and ready for world wide shipping
