The Beta 21 movement was developed by 17 Swiss manufactures (including Rolex Omega and Patek Phillipe) in 1969 and was introduced in production format the same year hailed as a revolution in watch making .
IWC only ordered 600 of the beta 21 movements and these were in various models including the famous Da Vinci in solid gold which it does have to be said isn't for everyone although what that does mean is that finding good examples in stainless steel is very hard and this will be amongst the best available.
This Electronic from the early 1070's is in near new old stock condition showing just the slightest storage marks and keeping perfect time .
The 36mm solid stainless steel case wears very well for any occasion and the silver dial is unblemished
The watch comes fitted to its Black IWC strap
