IWC Mark 11 RAF Cal 89

Arguably the most sought-after military collectors watch and said by many to be the most accurate and expensive watch ordered by the British ministry of defence ever this time piece has received so much praise in its 60-year existence and I think it’s fantastic to see it being worn with so much pride as it is today.

Classically understated and incredibly accurate you can see why these have such a following and at 36 mm are so easily worn in the modern arena.

This particular watch has the scarcer hooked seven dial which is lovely original condition and correctly signed.

The manual wound cal 89 movement is correctly marked with military crows foot

Condition of the 36mm case is very good and all angles are crisp ,I have to mention that the case back is plain and does not show the normal associated RAF engravings serial numbers ect ,It’s not he first time I have seen examples like this and I have been offered various reasons ,one being these were possibly issued to civilian personal contracted to the military which I have no way of verifying ,the other reason may be that if the item was returned to IWC for service work later in its  life they may have removed the case back ,again I have no way of knowing ,whatever the reason it’s a great looking honest IWC mark 11 and probably the best available value.
