This is a very special and rare 1976 Omega Stainless Steel ‘Time Computer 1’ LED and represents an extremely important part of Omega’s watch making history in that it was their first ever digital watch. Not only extremely expensive to develop but also astronomically expensive to buy when new, it was absolutely their range topping watch. This is by far the rarest of the production LED watches by Omega, they made less than 1000 of the Stainless Steel TC1 and this example is as good as they come, it even has the original case back stickers intact
The watch is only showing the very lightest storage marks. This is not a cheap generic replacement module it is the original Omega cal 1600 series with original serial plate and is in perfect condition like the rest of the watch.
I have to be honest; I’ve seen very few of these steel Time Computer 1’s and its hard to find any TC1’s without noticeable damage (normally the case and crystal are very poor) or without fault.
Digital technology has now become common place but when introduced this was absolutely revolutionary, the build quality was of the highest standard and testament to these watches is that after 45 years it is still going as well as the day it was made.
This is by far the rarest and most desirable of the Omega Time Computers and a sure-fire investment for any collector or connoisseur, because its stainless steel you can wear and enjoy it every day.
The Omegas Time Computer 1 was famously worn by Tele Savalas when playing the TV cop ‘Kojak’, other famous owners included Ringo Star and Mick Jagger.
