The Omega reference 2445 is the embodiment of the gents dress watch from the late 1940’s and fifties, elegant and understated and this early example is one of the nicest I have seen having been professionally restored to its former glory .
The solid 18ct gold 33mm case is in near perfect condition and the off-white dial is flawless, simply decorated with applied arrow head and stud indices complimented by the delicate gold “leaf” hands and a blued steel second hand.
The watch is running on the Omega cal 28.10 which was Omega earliest automatic movement often referred to as “bumpers” due to the action of the rotor, Variations of this movement carried on in manufacture for a considerable time and proved to be the backbone for future Omega Seamaster and Constellation watches
With a serial number dating this exquisite watch to c 1947 I doubt a nicer example exists and as it has been professionally serviced it offer the opportunity to wear a stunning 70 year old watch that will also offer great reliability
