This is quite simply a remarkable watch, it is a very rare French rose gold cased Omega Constellation dating to circa 1964, running calibre 561 Chronometer grade Omega movement, perhaps the best Chonometer the company ever made. This watch is special for a range of reasons, first it is a French 18K rose gold case, known to be equal and in many minds better than the Swiss made counterpart. They were made under license in France due to the import duties on gold to France in 20th century. Secondly, the watch is in near new old stock condition, it is untouched and unmolested, the case is flawless and unpolished, the movement is flawless and the dial is totally original and untouched, with light even patina.
This really is a very special watch, only four or five of these French cased examples have surfaced in the last five years, there were on only a handful made and very few have survived, non in this remarkable and perfect condition.
The watch is presented on correct period NOS omega band and with original period Omega crocodile case, specific to the French market.
This really is a special piece and finding one in this condition is impossible, a true collectors item.
