Possibly one of the most famous of all Omega chronographs the manual winding caliber 33.3 was developed by Lemania in 1933 (hence the name) and was a technical marvel and is still revered by collectors today .This is one of the later versions the with the movement stamped T170 which was introduced in 1949 the T170 was the non water resistant model and the T171 the water proof variant.
The 33.3 chronographs were far larger than most other chronographs of the day measuring 37,5 mm this was one factor that helped it become a favorite of many military forces as well as explorers of the day.
The three piece stainless steel case is in great condition with well defined crisp edges to the lugs.
The watch is a two register chronograph ,with sub-dials featuring 30 minute counter at three o'clock and running seconds at nine o'clock. The silver dial is very legible again reminiscent of military time pieces of that era.
