Omega were at arguably at their peak just at the outset of the Apollo program with all that entailed and that is when the company released the Chronostop range in 1966 with its striking modern colours and design's not least the innovative Driver model.
I make it no secret I like these pieces especially when they can be found in this condition , starting to show good returns on investment now as other models become very expensive to me these offer it all a modern looking sports watch with stop watch function good size at 35 mm excluding crown very good to wear now with investment potential as well.
This particular piece comes from circa 1968 and uses the famous caliber 920 movement with date display ,with the classic Grey faceted conical case middle somewhat reminiscent of a reverse pie pan dial. The dial can only be described as mint and completely original ,case shows some very small wear but importantly remains unpolished .
This stunning watch has also just returned from a complete service by vintage Omega specialist Simon Freese and is fully guaranteed until August 2019
Included in this sale is the original Mexico watch as these sets were also produced to celebrate the 1968 Olympic games .Please not the case has unfortunately been damaged on the hinges as shown .
This is a terrific and rare set ,that won't disappoint
