This stunning Time Computer 1 in white gold fill with original sharkskin leather strap is a rare beast indeed. Only a few hundred of these tremendous watches were ever made with very few known to still exist. The Time Computer was a landmark in Omega‘s history, introduced in the early 1970s it was amongst their most expensive watches at the time. These really were the first digital watches with red dot LED display and accuracy to around five seconds per month, compared to even the best chronometers of the day these are over 10 times more accurate.
The overwhelming majority of Time Computer‘s were made with integral bracelets, with only a handful made with leather straps or in solid 18 carat gold. Ringo star owned a yellow gold Time Computer one which should give you an idea of the pedigree and desirability of these watches both when new and now.
This example is in stunning original and unpolished condition, retaining its original omega crystal with just the omega logo present. The overall condition is outstanding with no damage to the original white gold filled case and only the very lightest of marks on the original crystal.
The sharkskin band can be adjusted from over 8 inches down to circa 6 1/2 and will fit the majority of wrists.
These watches were truly a revolution when they were introduced and this one is a museum quality example. The watch has been recently fully serviced and overhauled and retains its original movement. It also comes with a full 12 month warranty.
