About this watch

Produced in limited numbers for a short period of time from 1971 through to the year this example was manufactured in 1973 ,The Seamaster 120 automatic ,or Big Blue as it came to be known is a proper tool watch .A watch built to do a job just like the other watches in the Pilot line series which share the same basic case as the Flightmaster and Speedmaster Mk 111.
The solid stainless case measures a whopping 44 mm and is almost 17 mm deep large by today's standards but in 1973 this was a watch that made a statement.
The Big blue has always been popular amongst collectors and I have to say I am delighted to have this all original example to offer you .
The dial on this example has a patina which is simply amazing under sunlight it seems to shimmer and the lume has all aged evenly .
Fitted to an original Blue Tropic rubber strap and finished with a period Omega buckle I believe this is one of the nicest examples on the market today
