Not only are Vacheron & Constantin watches famous for their quality and some of the most technically complicated watches made but also for their bold case designs, perfectly demonstrated on this very rare example from c 1949.
This 38 mm solid 18ct Rose gold example is decorated by the heavy scarab lugs ,the watch makes a statement!
Inside the case runs the famous cal P453/3C manual winding movement
The cream dial also has a unique decoration using the Maltese cross as decoration for alternative hour markers as you can see on the images the dial has suffered some minor damage at some point in its 70 year life but I am please that no one has been tempted to have it restored.
This is a fine and rare watch from the worlds oldest still running manufacturer
