Rolex GMT Master Pepsi

When I thought about selling this piece, I was tempted to just list the photographs and the price because honestly, I don’t think I need to add much more, the watch is truly outstanding.

The Rolex GMT -Master 16750 was introduced in 1980 as a replacement for the much-loved 1675 and for the first 3 / 4years its almost impossible to tell the difference between the two model references given that initially they kept the same loved Matt dial before changing to the gloss finish in 1984. The main improvement was the change to the high beat cal 3075 movement with the additional benefit of a quick set date function.

For fans of matt dial vintage Rolex watches the most highly prized colour for the tritium lume to age to is referred to as pumpkin and its this combination that is perfectly demonstrated on this example the dial is completely original and virtually flawless. For the sake of complete transparency, the original hands have been matched to the dial as the original lume material had fallen out in places.

Not only is it stunning to look at but also comes as a complete collectors set which even includes a copy of the original delivery note dated February 1982 which may make this just about the perfect 40^th birthday treat !
