The Rolex submariner has been the choice of tool watch for many armed forces including the British marines and French Marine National and although a certain Mr Bond may well be known for his recent taste in Omega wristwatches The 5513 was the watch of choice for the film live and let die staring Roger More .

I am pleased to have another excellent example of the highly collectable Submariner ref 5513 with meters first dials dating to 1967 although when you see the condition it’s hard to believe this piece is 55 years old.

The original meters first matt dial is in lovely condition and the lume has aged to a lovely deep cream colour which is highlighted by the original domed glass.

The stainless-steel 40mm case shows no signs of being over polished like so many examples have been, and the inner case back is correctly stamped including the date stamp 11/67

The watch benefits from being fitted to the extremely rare and very desirable original 6636 expanding riveted Rolex bracelet dated 2/67 which is in stunning condition having been completely restored, the bracelet is also full size so will easily fit the largest or wrists.

The automatic cal 1520 movement runs perfectly having been recently serviced and carries our 12 months guarantee
