The Rolex 5513 Submariner needs very little introduction having been in constant production from 1963 until 1989 and although this is currently the longest production run of any Rolex it remains on the must have list of most collectors as it offers vintage style coupled with modern reliability.
I am delighted to have on offer today a truly fine example manufactured in 1984 as confirmed by the serial numbers engraved on the case and on the accompanying Rolex service papers dated 2005 ,the watch also benefits from having a later service in 2016 by an independent specialist ,again papers included along with the period Rolex box
The standout features on this example are the original and untouched matt MK5 maxi dial which is the last and hardest to find versions of the maxi dials and the ghost bezel which although it has a few slight blemishes looks amazing in the flesh and is sure to be a talking point.
The 40mm stainless steel case is in remarkable condition and if it has been polished in the past you simply couldn’t tell the case retains crisp definition all over.
Original examples of 5513’s are getting harder to find and this is probably one of the nicest around.
I have also pictured this piece on a matt black Alligator strap to show an alternative look which personally is how I like to wear these vintage pieces .
