The 792xx series was introduced in 1995 and brought with it many improvements like the introduction of a sapphire crystal and uprated Valjoux 7750 movement and the new case became softer to the eye, this was also the first Tudor chronograph offered with a shark skin strap and folding Tudor clasp as well as the Tudor steel bracelet and it was this reference that introduced the dial name change to Tudor Prince Date
The 79280 has a steel bezel with an engraved Tachymeter scale on top of its 40mm steel case
The Valjoux 7750 automatic movement keeps perfect time and is fully guaranteed for 12 months.
The standout feature of this superb watch must be the oxblood Guilloche dial, which is very seldom seen, and it’s made even rarer by the no Tiger branding this I suspect will become highly prized in the future its absolutely stunning in sunlight. Tiger Woods famously signed a sponsorship deal with Tudor around 1998 and so most Tudor chronographs after that date had dial with TIGER text under the 12.0clock and many collectors don’t like the cluttered look it gives the dial.
The watch dates to 1998 and comes complete with
Tudor inner and outer boxes
Correct Tudor instruction manual
Correct Sharkskin strap (WELL USED) complete with correct Tudor folding clasp and solid end links
