About this watch

Like many other great Swiss manufacturers Omega suffered in the mid-seventies due to cheap quartz watches from the far east saturating the market causing the demise of many great names. However, Omega fought back and fortunately already had many great success stories in the quartz arena none more so than the marine chronometer and other meg quartz models.

This particular piece is more humble than the aforementioned pieces but none the less helped Omega survive the crisis and became a stable offering for many years and today has all the classic features. The mind size 33 mm stainless steel case with its integral bracelet holds the unmarked silver dial with dot hour markers and date aperture.

The quartz movement has just been to vintage Omega specialist Simon Freese for a new battery and time check .
