The Pasha de Cartier we recognise today was introduced in 1985 having been designed by the world-renowned Gerald Genta the designer of the Audemars Piquet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, it’s difficult to imagine a better pedigree, although the history of the name dates back to Cartier’s relationship with the Pasha of Marrakesh, Thami El Glaoui who asked Cartier to produce him a waterproof watch in the 1930’s
Genta’s design was a stunning success encapsulating the modern look demanded by a younger clientele.
This example has a 35mm stainless steel case and stainless-steel bracelet with concealed clasp.
The crisp white dial is decorated with Arabic numerals at 3,6,9 and 12 o’clock and has a big date window at 6 o’clock it also features the same square minute track as the original Genta design.
The automatic movement is covered by our 12 months guarantee.
I suspect this outstanding design represents the most affordable Classic Genta deigned watch available.
