Dugena may not be a brand that first jumps into the mind of everyone seeking a great late 1960’s chronograph although when you see a piece like this it’s very hard to figure out why not and also realise that this situation won’t carry on for long.
It’s also worth noting that this piece runs on the famous Valjoux 7733 manual wind chronograph movement, produced from 1966 to 1973 the Valjoux chronograph served as the basis for many movements from the likes of Breitling, IWC, Heuer and Panerai along with many other famous and highly prized brands
Please take some time to look at the detail on this amazing completely original dial, the matt black sets of the red outer minute markers and also the great cross hair details on the sub dials and the lume has aged to a stunning even cream.
At 40mm the stainless-steel case was a real statement back in the sixties as the modern generation tried to break away from the smaller dress watches of the time. The case as with the rest of this piece is in virtually new condition.
Finally, this great watch comes fitted to an original Black leather Dugena strap
