About this watch

I would be surprised at anyone reading this not knowing why it is referred to as the ED White but for the sake of clarity ED White was the first American astronaut to walk in space and whilst performing this historic event he was proudly wearing non other than the Speedmaster ref 145 003 forever known there after as the ED white.

This particular example came from the grandson of the original owner who had received the watch in 1965 as confirmed by the correctly completed Omega guarantee papers which also conform the cal 321 movement numbers serial 19 million as date of manufacture circa 1964

The bracelet was also fitted as a factory option and is the quite rare 19 mm 1068 no 12 beads of rice  with the correct 555 end links .

The case for this exceptional Ed White remains crisp and sharp although the case back carries a inscription of initials and the date 1965 and I like the honesty of that as the initials are that of the original owner confirmed on the papers

The dial is original and untouched  although the bezel has been changed at an early service and replaced by an original B2 by the service center

I have just had the watch serviced by vintage omega specialist Simon Freese and so the piece is fully guaranteed for 18 months please note Simon did replace 2 pushers on the service

This is a really good honest Ed White and I am delighted to offer it for sale

Be quick this is possibly the best available at this price
