Its been said many times that every collector or enthusiast should own a Submariner 5513 at least once and I can’t disagree especially with an example as nice as this from 1973.
The dial is an original early non-Serif dial produced before the more common maxi dials were introduced, these were among the last dials with the word submariner below the depth rating which gives the dial a better look in my opinion.
The stainless-steel case shows very little signs of wear, and the case back even retains the original Rolex 5513 sticker. The bracelet is the correct 9315 with 380 end links and like the rest of the watch is in superb condition.
The watch comes with box and Rolex punched papers dated 1973 in original document wallet along with the 1973 calendar
Great original examples with box and papers are getting harder to find so I don’t expect to have this for long.
