The famous collectable dirty dozen needs little introduction on this site but to briefly recap in the 1940’s the British MOD selected 12 Swiss manufacturers to produce a time piece for the armed forces all had to use the same dial layout but various case sizes and materials are found .The 12 became known by collectors as the dirty dozen and Timor were one of those chosen manufacturers. WWW being the specification required by the MOD ,Wrist Watch Waterproof.
It is estimated that Timor produced around 13,000 of these cases for the army around 70 years ago, although I doubt many have survived in this condition.
This is the finest original example I have seen for a long time and thankfully not been through anyone's cosmetic workshop to achieve this appearance
The 35 mm steel case is in great condition as is the rest of this excellent timepiece .
The manual winding caliber 6060 movement is working perfectly giving you the opportunity to wear a piece of British history with modern performance and reliability
