Waltham collaborated with Blancpain on several watches, in simple terms these where Waltham branded 50 fathoms and the very high build quality reflects this. The very wearable 34 mm (excluding crown) watch and has a manual wind Waltham 1686 movement This model is the stainless-steel case version and is without doubt the most desirable iteration of this series.
What also makes this watch special and unique is that this exact model was also worn by the legend that is Paul Newman in the film ‘Harper’ and was in fact a watch he wore regularly throughout his life.
This Waltham branded Blancpain Bathyscaphe has all its original parts, including case, crown, bezel dial and hands and is in fantastic condition.
Its also nice to see this piece comes with two Waltham branded straps one a correct steel mesh bracelet and an alternative vintage tropic in very eye catching yellow!
