This beautiful Solid gold dress watch from 1958 comes from in my opinion the era when a gents dress watch was in its hey day ,this is a thoroughly luxurious piece and in stunning condition when you consider its 60 years old.
The omega ref 3977 was first shown at the universal exhibition in Brussels in 1957 presented in the Pavilion of Elegance ,its easy to see why !
The Black lacquered dial is furnished with riveted gold hour markers inlaid with Onyx, matched with dauphine hands ,the 18ct gold case is defined by the exquisite large polished and curved fancy lug covers.making this a real standout piece and one you will be highly unlikely to see anyone else wearing the same.
As with many early gents dress watches they are now equally at home on the wrist of a lady these days.
I have fitted this lovely piece to a high quality double stitched and tapered Black leather strap which complements it perfectly.
If you are seeking a perfect 60th Birthday or anniversary gift I would have no hesitation recommending this splendid piece to you
