From a time when a gentleman's watch spoke volumes about the man this is a real statement piece produced by Omega when they arguably were producing some of their finest dress watches.
This stunning example dates from c 1952 and is one of the best kept 70 years old pieces I have seen for a long time.
The stainless-steel jumbo case measures 37.5mm (excluding the crown) which at the time was huge and wears superbly today and is in stunning condition showing remarkably little wear.
The movement is the extremely highly regarded 266, which was the developed version of the Omega 30T2, Omegas back bone for over 50 years and graced some of their most famous watches.
Without doubt for me the standout feature of this watch is the original cream tone waffle dial finished in an unblemished Ivory and decorated with rose gold arrow markers punctuated by rose gold number markers at 12, 3 and 9 and capped by the applied Omega mark and finished with the perfect seconds sub dial.
This is truthfully one of the nicest examples I have seen for a long time and completed by a dial configuration I doubt you will see again and definitely not in this condition. The ultimate combination of stainless steel with waffle dial and rose gold dial furniture.
The watch is presented on brand new handmade honey Saffiano leather band.
