The Omega Constellation was introduced in the mid 20th Century as Omegas flagship wrist watch, housing their very best Chronometer rated movements and intended as both a sports watch and a dress watch. The design has become a true classic in every way and they are know high coveted and collected by all from professional Collectors to amateur enthusiasts.

 

During the last 70 years there have been dozens of iterations of the Constellation series, this 2887 models is without doubt one of their rarest productions models, this example really is one of the classics. The stainless steel 34mm (excluding crown) case is in near new old stock condition and has never been refinished, the champagne dial is absolutely flawless and it really is just one of the most beautiful and elegant watches you could own.

 

Omega designed their Constellation series to be elegant and more dress orientated yet robust and wearable, being waterproof to 30M and have durable steel or solid gold cases with hesalite crystal, they are epitome of function and form.

 

The watch has been fully serviced and overhauled by Simon Freese watchmakers so can be worn with total confidence, although now 60 years old it is very close to been in new condition and has decades of wear left in it, a truly remarkable and timeless piece.even more so when you consider that the watch is around 60 years old coming from c 1958/59
