This stunning gent’s dress watch from the late 1940’s would have made a real statement when new just as it does now. The 35.5 mm case was considered large then and the drop lugs certainly give this piece even more wrist presence.
Patek Phillipe ref 1590 this 18ct gold watch would have been amongst the best time pieces available in the world at the time so whoever owned this was someone very privileged and it would be fascinating to know whose wrists this watch has been on during the last 70 years
The manual winding movement looks and performs superbly and, case, movement and dial are all signed Patek Philippe
Not the dial shows some aged related wear, but this does not detract from this wonderful vintage piece
