Breitling have many long well-established links to aviation and the Super AVI collection pays tribute to famous planes of the second world war era in this instance it’s the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk which from its debut in 1938 proved itself to me a true pilots aircraft, incredibly robust and a master of agility. The watch is likewise designed to withstand the rigours of life although I am sure I won’t be testing those capabilities in any military planes however the military pedigree is easy to spot, the olive dial is clearly decorated with oversize Arabic numerals to guarantee legibility in all conditions and the 46mm steel case sports an oversize crown and knurled bezel both to aid ease of operation.

The watch runs on the COSC-Certified in house B04 movement which has a massive 70-hour power reserve
