Breitling watches are one of the most famous and iconic watch brands of the 20th and 21st century, most well known for their chronograph models, including the icon of design… the Navitimer.
This Breitling Top-Time Chronograph dates from the late 1960's this piece is circa 1968 and was introduced to the market to appear to a more youthful audience than breitling had traditionally sold to. The watch is running the famous Valjoux 7730 movement, which is (like the rest of the watch) in as new condition.
Unbeknown to many Sean Connery wore a Breitling Top Time in a specially adapted case in the film Thunderball so you are seeing a true film icon in this watch.
This example is as good as they come, the case is utterly flawless, the champagne dial has a few light marks but nothing that detracts and is contrasted beautifully by the blue sub dials and orange hands.
This really is a wonderful watch is near as new condition and could easily be mistaken for a new Breitling but with all the design and heritage of the brand in the 1960’s
A real must for the collector and sportsman alike.
