The Dodane type 21 was developed at the request of the French general staff for military application, commissioned in the 1950’s and in service until the 1970’s. The watch was designed to be a ‘flyback’ chronograph, with a range of specific military functions such as luminous dial, outer bezel.
The movement is the famous valjoux 222, a very high-grade movement and testament to the quality and the design of this watch. It is housed in a solid stainless steel and waterproof case, everything about this watch is exacting, to a high standard and the quality you would expect from a watch of military application.
The watch is an issued example, it was manufactured 1967/68 and has its first military service mark from 1969.
A wonderful piece and a beautiful watch, a sure-fire investment and a great watch for any occasion.
