Girard Perregaux stainless steel automatic circa 1959 SOLD

Girard Perregaux are considered one of the premium Swiss watch makers of today, with watches running in to the hundreds of thousands of pounds. This example dates to approximately 1959 and is in near new old stock condition. It is a rare waterproof model and has been full serviced and overhauled, the case has never been refinished and is extremely sharp, only showing the lightest of wear.

The watch is running GP’s famous period automatic cal 1256 17 jewel movement and like the rest of the watch it is near new condition, the dial is the stand out piece on the watch, completely original and with a lovely multiscale design, it really is stunning. The watch is a very wearable 34.5 mm excluding the crown and the large substantial stainless-steel case makes it wear even larger than it is.

This really is a stunning piece and you would be hard pressed not to think it is any more than a year or two old based on the condition and the current design, its beautiful.
