Originally created in the mid 1950's the Ingenieur like Rolex's Milgaus was a watch specifically designed to be worn by scientists in particular those who worked in areas were the exposure to strong magnetic field's meant a lesser watch would fail to work accurately .
This fantastic example in mint condition from 1963 has the highly prized combination of Black dial with gold script and gold hour markers with Dauphine hands .
The cal 8531 is housed in the antimagnetic soft iron inner casing and the movement is highly regarded amongst collectors ,this coupled with the reputation as one of the earliest tool watches and its undoubted classic design make the Ingenieur extremely collectable and its 36.3 mm case makes it very wearable today as well.
