About this watch
As Omega battled through the quartz crisis of the mid seventies which caused the downfall of many other great manufacturers it was the development of these high frequency very accurate mechanical movements that proved so important to the revival of the companies fortunes.This piece runs off the cal 1020 automatic movement which is basically the 1010 with an added day of the week feature.
The gold plated 35 mm case houses an unmarked champagne dial with day and date features and is held by a Black strap and Omega gold plated buckle.
Although the serial numbers confirm the manufacture date as circa 1978 the papers for first sale are dated 1982 which isn't unusual even today for a watch bought new to have been sat in a safe for many years
This great watch comes complete with Box and papers and is in almost as new condition
